N'Golo Kanté, the Algerian international striker, has signed a new four-year contract with Al Ittihad FC, the club he represented during his time in France.
The agreement was made official by the club's president, Mohammed Suleiman, and it comes just weeks after he scored a hat-trick against fellow Algerian side Le Havre on Saturday.
Kanté has been a key player for the Algerians over the past few years, scoring 21 goals in 44 appearances across all competitions this season. He is also one of the best strikers in the league, having scored 27 goals in 65 games last season.
"I am delighted to sign my new contract with Al Ittihad," said Kanté. "I am looking forward to playing for the club again next season and contributing to their success."
Kanté has already established himself as a key player for Al Ittihad, but he is hoping to continue his progress under the leadership of manager Mokhtar Hamad.
"We have had a great season so far, and we want to build on that success," added Hamad. "We believe that N'Golo can help us achieve even more."
Overall, the signing of N'Golo Kanté is a positive development for Al Ittihad, who currently sit at the top of the Algerian Premier League table with 18 points from six matches played so far this season. The club is well-placed to reach the Champions League semi-finals if they maintain their form and perform well in the remaining rounds of the season.
