Monaco have announced that Wilfried Songo'o has sustained an ankle injury and will be out for "a few weeks." The midfielder was injured during the team's 1-0 defeat to Paris Saint-Germain in the Coupe de France last weekend.
The 29-year-old has been a key player for Monaco this season, making 17 appearances and scoring two goals. He has also made several impressive performances in midfield, providing support to the likes of Thiago Silva and Benjamin Mendy.
Songo'o is known for his defensive skills and work rate, which have helped him become one of the most valuable players at the club. However, with the injury, it remains to be seen how long he will be out of action.
Despite the setback, Monaco remain hopeful that Songo'o can recover from his injury in time for the upcoming matches against Lyon and Nice. It is hoped that he will be able to return to full fitness and continue playing for the club.
